You see the woman on the left holding the urn like a model? Well, that’s the grandmother of photographer Mish Aminoff who was also a Persian Jew. In fact, this photo was taken at a photo studio in Jerusalem several decades ago.
The lady at the very top just happens to be the great-grandmother of Sij, a Finnish photographer who randomly stumbled upon this old photo by accident. Knowing that the woman at the top was actually his grams was a total shock!

The woman on the right is Derek Sherinian’s great-grandmother, who survived the Armenian genocide. She looks like an incredibly fierce warrior, which just might explain how she managed to stay alive under the circumstances.
