What do you think of a used tea bag? It looks like a soggy mess, right? Well, it isn’t messed up or soggy for this artist from New York. Ruby Silvious says, “But while you may see a soggy, stained tea bag, I see a blank canvas.” Silvious uses the mushy tea bags to paint and create beautiful miniature paintings. Her paintings look like a visual mood board or a diary that is beautifully recording every moment of her life.
She says, “I draw, paint and collage moody, evocative and sometimes whimsical art on the used teabag paper.”
She began painting in the year 2015 and since then her life has been revolving around filling colors on the blank canvas.
1. Painting on such a small canvas is difficult but she portrays everything gorgeously. Look at this one.
2. Also, this one.
3. Birch trees and a thick forest looks like she spent a great day in the woods.
4. This one says a million words in a thousand brush strokes.
5. Serenity at its best.
